Questions

Everything creators usually ask before sending us a clip.

Does it cost anything to submit?

No. Submitting is free. If we can license your clip we come back with an offer, and you decide.

Do I lose ownership of my video?

No. You stay the owner. The agreement lets us license it on your behalf and act against unauthorised copies. Your credit stays attached.

How much will I earn?

It depends on the clip and who ends up licensing it. A clip picked up by several broadcasters earns very differently from one licensed once. Your exact share is written into the offer we send you, so you know the terms before you sign anything.

When do payments go out?

Once a buyer has paid for a licence, your share goes out on the next monthly payment run. The payment date and method are confirmed in your offer.

What makes a clip easy to license?

Roughly 30 to 60 seconds, filmed horizontally, straight off the camera with no edits, captions or added music. Background music you do not own is the most common reason a video cannot be licensed.

It is already on social media. Is that a problem?

Usually not. Tell us where it has been posted so we know where copies have spread.

Someone else is using my video. Can you help?

Yes, that is a core part of the service. Send us the links you have found and we take it from there.

Can I withdraw my video later?

Yes. Write to us and we will stop offering it to new buyers. Licences already sold run to the end of their agreed term, because the buyer has paid for that use.

Still stuck?

Write to us and a person will answer.
